Chris Yates
Lead Vocals, Guitar

Chris Yates comes from a solid musical background of singing, playing guitar, and theater performances. In fact, he can't recall not being in front of an audience! No wonder this natural entertainer makes it look so easy. Yates started his music career as a child at the age of 9. His 4th grade music teacher first noticed his talent and told him, "you can have this if you want it." Well she was right, the hard work has paid off, Chris Yates certainly does have it.

Chris Yates has adopted the rule of using "plain old-fashioned talent" to gain well-deserved attention to his music. Living proof is hearing the music. Some examples that apply this rule are Chris Yates' multiple performances of the National Anthem at professional sporting events such as The Seattle Mariners baseball games, and Seattle Seahawks football games. How did he get selected to perform at these events? Chris was noticed by only a cassette tape of his voice. There was nothing else included, no music, not even photos. There's no denying the depth and appeal of Chris Yates' controlled voice.

Recently, Chris did it again. With only a cassette tape (nothing else included) of his original songs, he secured a spot for Sly Mr. Y. at The Bite Of Seattle 2002. Every year The Bite Of Seattle receives thousands of press kits from hopeful performers, but only a small percentage of them are selected. You can say this is one talent that certainly stands out from the crowd!

Lonnie Mueller
Guitar

Lonnie Mueller has been playing guitar for 25 years. His love for music ranges from rock, jazz, and fusion, to blues, with more of a preference for fusion. Lonnie grew up in the Seattle area, having early influences including artists such as Neil Young. Lonnie refused to let the fact that he was unable to afford to buy an instrument stop him from his dream of becoming a musician, so he borrowed a guitar from a friend and learned to play. His skill as a guitarist became so serious that he decided to pursue an education in music. Lonnie moved to LA after he was accepted into the very prestigious MIT (Musician's Institute), where he got an opportunity to rub shoulders with many famous musicians.

Lonnie has played in several Seattle area bands such as Go For Broke, Light Years, and Dave Christianson's Tribute to Mick Jagger. By the way, Lonnie, did you ever give that guy back his guitar that you borrowed? No comment from Lonnie...just a smile!

Jeff Roberts
Bass

Jeff says his most musical productive years were between 7 and 11 years old when he mastered, Air guitar.  Being born and raised in Washington state, he decided to continue the music that came quiet naturally.  He gives credit to his father, grandma and grandpa who were a great encouragement along the way.

He started playing in Jr. High but in High School musician friends included, Larry Jacobson, Mike Selvidge and others.  After school he started a long and lasting music friendship with Frothingham, Bonnie Rose, Bill Jameson, Michael Oshie, Lonnie Mueller, Richard Brown, Michael Clune, Jeff Lemiche, Larry Call, Mike Selvidge, George and Dotti Hagge, Fats, (Buffalo
chips), and Forever chairman of the boards, Jerry Openshaw.  This was the music family of Gopher Broke.

Other bands include, Skin tight, Rhythm Café. Johnny Rusk band ( Elvis tribute), Dick Fisher.

Paul Buchignani
Drummer

Paul studied music in college at the University of Wisconsin (Eau Claire) for a couple of years before going on the road and touring the Midwest playing drums/singing with a rock band.  He then moved to the West Coast and played in several northwest area bands including Child, Lightyears, Diamondback, GreenFlash, Spirit Shop and Dr. Unknown.  He also played percussion in the Boeing Concert Band and the Seattle Civic Orchestra.
Although drums were his main instrument, he studied guitar, keyboards and songwriting as well and in 1997 formed the rock band EverAfter as a vehicle for his original songs.  This meant moving from behind the drums to the front of the stage, singing lead and playing guitar/keyboards.  They played several shows and opened for national acts such as Todd Rundgren and Robin Trower.
